Hello. I have seen this site around for many years now, and I am glad to see it is still around.
I remember watching this on TV back in the late-80's. I must have been... 8 or 9 when it came out and I remember enjoying the fun battle scenes and some of odd humour. As I re-watched it when I was older, I learned to appreciate the story arc a LOT more. Forget the toys, forget the marketing, the story alone was WORTH watching this for. It is such a shame that the 2nd season was never finished or aired. :(

Has anyone bought the 4-DVD set available here? I bought a 2-DVD set on ebay and the quality is terrible. I am so mad I wasted my money. I am wondering if the 4-DVD set offered here is better.

Captain Power is the best series I have ever seen in my life.

I think Captain Power will come back again some day with new stories. The character has much more potential to give. Series such as: Band of Brothers is a clear example about the audience. So, We need these Sci-Fi series again. A Band of Brothers projected to the future. The times change.

Even Video Games such as; Gears of War gives another example about what we like it.

Captain Power must be Reinstated, Reloaded and Re-armed again with new powerful weapons.

This show had the potential to go much further. We are more mature, as an audience. If they ever resurrect this (like Land of the Lost), I hope it contains the grit of Watchmen, humor of little to nothing, EFX of the current tech, and writing that honors sci fi.

I and my elder brother used to watch Captain Power from 1987-88. Great show. We used to have several Captain Power figures (3, I guess).

In Portugal we didn't have the toy guns to use in the show. Only recently I discovered they even existed. We saw the show as it was and loved it. Still are my favorite tv show ever. Hope they complete the saga. to bad that as passed so much time and the original actors are so "old". It would be a waste of a good story if they didn't ended it.

I wasn't even a year old when this show aired, but my parents videotaped several episodes, and I watched them when I was younger. I used to idolise Capt. Power, and I wish I knew where the VHS we have is. I know we have the first training video, too. I hope to buy the DVD's soon, and I'll probably watch them daily.

I think you guys should bring back the Soldiers of the Future. I'm sure it would get a Hell of a hit. Maybe a video game, too.

My God. Captain Power was more extensive than I thought. Now, in 2007, I thought of myself as the last XT-7 pilot, until a college professor, a persuasion class professor, actually mentioned Captain Power, and he and I soon found ourselves going into detail about the Powerjet.
Then, he gave me an old VHS tape with the actual first season episodes on it.
I only possess the 1st training video, but it's becoming damaged, but my Powerjet still works.
If there were some way I could get computer videos of the training videos...
Again, I'm glad this fight still goes on. This will be awesome to integrate into my Command & Conquer writing!

my brother and i had gotten some captain power toys and the mattel video level 2 for christmas right when it came out and we had a blast shooting at the tv and feeling like we were part of the story, but then i immediately became a huge fan of the series. great plotlines and characterizations. i tried to watch it every time it was on, not to mention i have always been a fan of svens. i was a huge arnold schwarzenegger fan as well and sven has been an extra in countless arnold movies. sometimes you can only see him for a second, if you blink you miss him. but in some movies such as the running man he plays a more vivid role, suprisingly enough as "sven" in that one.

Today I just got a Captain Power Power On Energizer that I ordered on eBay (along with a Power Jet X7). I remember when I got a Power Jet X7 for Christmas in 1987; that was awesome! When I went on this website and downloaded the intro, I made an astounding discovery: THE TOYS STILL WORK WITH THE VIDEOS! My Power On Energizer powered up along with the words "Power On." This franchise was WAY ahead of its time, what with the whole plug-'n-play thing going on, and the fact that this is WIRELESS makes Captain Power even more special. I think Mattel should revive this toy line. But say it ain't so: you mean the possibility of a DVD release of this show is impossible? I would hope not and a company like Anchor Bay, Media Blasters or ADV would release the series on DVD to go along with the toys. I am ready to POWER ON.

I've only seen the Training Episodes 1 and three... however, I'd say even this small sample was amazingly impressive to me. The animation quality is off the charts, the designs, environments, and sound effects are excellent. Shame on me for letting my XT-7 get sold in a yard sale... then again, I never liked the loud noise it made when I got waxed by BioDreads, but still. Anyway, I'd say the two eps I've seen changed my life (lame, I know) - I'm a Japanese anime fan now because I was a Captain Power (training eps) fan back in the day.

You have done a great job and should really do a site for gary's other great series, Skeleton Warriors. I am one of the few fans on he-man.org of his live-action He-Man adaptation. Maybe you could contact He-Man.org, I have tried over the matter, and help design a sub-section for Gary's work. This was such a great show. I remember it so well. My brother sister and father used to sit and watch it every saturday.
Wish they would bring it back. Or make a movie out of it.
What does everbody think of the idea of a movie? Where it picks up at the end of season one where jennifer lives?
We all know that at the end of season one pilot dies. But we all know she could of lived. So that would make a great season two or movie right there.
While I am not sure how the good captain would feel. I do think he might just take the chance. As we all know it seemed like he had feelings for he. Maybe he never explored them for a lot of reasons never said. Like jennifer was too young, or he was afraid he might scare her, she knew too little of love and just what goes with it, or he was just too busy to notice till the end.
But given a second chance and knowing how she felt. I bet that love would be in the air.
Does anyone think that she and Jon would have finally gotten together? Tell me what ya think?

I really miss CP, and wish it would come back. If it does, I think it should be an hour-long show, thereby giving it more depth and less of a children-only feel. AND if the figures come back, I think they should not be handed back to Mattel. Hasbro has probably bought them over, anyway, but the figures broke too easily. Mind you, I thought that the Power Suits on the figures looked better than those of the cast. Any comments? E-mail me. (flames will be deleted)

Wow! What a great CP site you got there. Good work!
I remember CP from the time when I was young, 8 I think. And I got to watch almost all the episodes on the Malaysian channel(TV3). Unfortunately, I never got the oppertunity to get the stuff. And later, in '96 when the Indonesian channel aired it, I got to record most of the episodes. Woo. . . I was screeming with joys every time I watch CP. Pity, Singapore TV never shown the epsiodes before, although the movie was shown twice long time ago.
I wish I can collect the stuff again after all these years but the
total prices offered on E-Bay etc are too high for one living in this part of the world. Nice to know that I'm not alone in remembering CP!

This was one of my favorite shows when I was about 9. I did actually have a few of the toys that went along with the show, but I couldn't play along, because I kept watching! Don't remember exactly how old i was when i watched the show for the first time, around 12, I estimate. Thought the computer animated characters (Sauron, Blastarr etc) were a bit crude looking, but i liked the show and kept watching it until they stopped showing it.
Some time ago,I was reminded of CP when I noticed that the Sci-Fi channel was showing it again and recently I did a search on AltaVista that led me this site. And what a great site this is!
I'm all for ressurecting CP, but I think we should skip the idea of a movie and just concentrate on getting the show back. ..And make sure Mattel keeps their fingers out of the script this time.

It's been 13 years since I've remembered anything about Captain Power. I used to have the fighter toy along with the training videos. I seriously doubt that I still have it. I still remember Pilot's death at the end of the season. It killed me!!! I enjoyed the espiodes because it was one of few shows that I liked and was able to watch due to Closed Captioning (I'm deaf). Hope the show will be able to be re-aired or rerun.
