As he kneels before his father's memorial, Captain Power's memories
of the circumstances leading to his father's death take us back...to a time when
Jon was 15 years old. It's the beginning of the Metal Wars, when Dr. Stuart Power
was preparing to do battle with his former friend and colleague, Lyman Taggert, (now
Lord Dread). Power, lost in his memories, does not realize that Dread is watching him
closely - too closely. |
 |
As he speeds toward Power's location, Dread's memories are drawn to
his own past...the creation of Soaron, his first Bio Dread Warlord, his attempt (as

the final battle - which killed Stuart and rendered Taggert into the cyborg he is
now. This unusual turn of thought leads Dread to a very unexpected decision. |

With Icarus, a giant digitizing platform in orbit over the earth,
and Prometheus, five plasma energy stations with enough fire-power to wipe out the entire
Eastern Seaboard, Dread has the final two parts of Project New Order in place. The
Power team has only two hours to figure out a way to deactivate the Platform and
take it out of orbit. The only way into the Icarus base is through the front door. |
 |
Surviving the assault on Icarus, Power sends the Platform crashing
into Volcania, demolishing Soaron in the process, and causing chaos throughout Dread's
base. However, the Prometheus project is still active, thereby forcing the Power
team to infiltrate Volcania, making them vulnerable. Sending Blastarr after the
Power team, Dread is confident that the destruction of the Resistance is imminent. |
 |
Furious that his major plans have been thwarted, Dread retaliates
with brutality, using everything at his disposal to wipe humanity from the face of
the earth. Power and his team have their hands full trying to save as many people as
they can, but Dread is determined to destroy the Resistance. Things begin to look
very good for Dread when, during a raid, he discovers an extremely valuable piece
of information - the location and operation of one of Power's jump gates. |

team at the gate - and it works. The Jumpship is knocked out of commission as Dread's
forces pass through the gate, en route to the Power Base, where Pilot is unknowingly
trapped. Power and the rest of the team struggle as fast as they can to come to Pilot's
aid, but time is not on their side. |
